Uthai Khunjit (Piyarat)
Born : April 19th, 1941.
Education: Art of painting, Poh Chang Arts and Crafts School
Working experience : 11 years in teaching arts, then worked for the Advertisement Company and a civil servant at the map section, Harbour Department. Resigned in 1970 to work as freelance painter until present. Most of his paintings are Thai traditions, Thai arts, and Thai children's game in the ancient time.
- A mural restoration, Dusit Mahaprasat Throne Hall of Grand palace, in 1963
- A mural restoration, the temple of the emerald Buddha, in 1965
- A Buddhism paintings, describing the history of Buddhism, from the enlightenment to the death of Buddha at Wat Srima Prasit, Cha uad district, a province of Nakorn Sri Tammarat in 1967. HRH Sirinthorn later expresses a royal wish to conserve the paintings for educations.
Painting exhibitions Associated with other famous painting artists, his works were exhibited at the Memorial Day of the foundation of Poh Chang Arts and Crafts school on January 7th, 1998. Also exhibited in various places such as the River City, Taniya Plaza.
Awards - Consecutively won the First prizes in Channel 9 television's (Bang Khun Prom) Arts Contest for three years, from 1976 to 1978.
- The painting "Houses by the canal" was awarded the HM Queen Sirikit Price from the contest of " Original painting models for embroidery works", organized by the philanthropic foundation for developing artistic professions under the patronage of the queen, On 15th June 2001.
